Cracking the NEET (the national medical entrance test) remains an elusive dream for many in India. However, succeeding in this test is not child’s play, and for many NEET hopefuls, the dream of becoming a doctor remains a distant dream. Recently, a failed NEET aspirant shared an emotional post on how his father cheered him up after he failed NEET 25 badly.
Taking to the popular subreddit JEENEETards, the Reddit user shared a picture of delicious pizzas and wrote, “After failing NEET 25, my dad brought this.”
The post went viral on the sub, gaining more than 3,000 likes. Many netizens were floored at the father’s sweet and thoughtful gesture. “That's a W (win) for Dad!” gushed one, to which the user responded, “But I can see disappointment in his face...”

Another user shared a heartwarming anecdote on how their father took them to KFC (Kentucky’s Fried Chicken) after they admitted they had messed up the examination.

In 2024, registrations peaked at 24,06,079, compared to 20,87,462 in 2023. Previous years saw 18,72,343 candidates in 2022, 16,14,777 in 2021, 15,97,435 in 2020, and 15,19,375 in 2019—reflecting a consistent rise in interest for medical education.
