The sudden demise of actress and model Shefali Jariwala has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world, with the circumstances surrounding her death still unclear. According to statements released by the Mumbai Police on Saturday, the exact cause of her death has not yet been confirmed. Her body has been transported to Cooper Hospital for a postmortem examination in order to determine what led to her unexpected passing.

Earlier accounts had suggested that the actress, who gained immense popularity through the music video remix of Kaanta Laga, had succumbed to cardiac arrest. However, those reports remain unverified at this stage. Authorities have emphasized that the actual cause is still under investigation and will be determined following the postmortem results.

    Emergency Response And Hospital Confirmation

Shefali was transported to Bellevue Hospital in Mumbai during the late hours of Friday night. Her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, accompanied by three others, brought her to the medical facility. As per statements from the hospital’s front desk staff, the 42-year-old actress was already deceased when she arrived. Despite efforts to reach her in time, she could not be revived.

The Mumbai Police later confirmed that Shefali was found unresponsive at her Andheri residence. Law enforcement received an alert at approximately 1 a.m. A team of police officers along with forensic specialists reached her home shortly afterward to begin their inquiry into the events leading to her death. The official statement reported by news agency ANI clarified that the postmortem would be conducted at Cooper Hospital, and the cause of death would be known only after medical examination.

The body underwent a post-mortem examination, according to a statement made by a senior police official on Saturday to PTI. However, the medical examiner did not arrive at a conclusive determination regarding the precise reason behind her sudden demise.

Due to the current uncertainty surrounding the exact cause of her death, the Mumbai Police have filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) as part of their standard investigative process.

Authorities reportedly received notification of Shefali’s passing in the early hours of Saturday—around 1:00 a.m. Following the alert, her remains were transported to Cooper Hospital, which is managed by the municipal authorities, where the autopsy was conducted.

Although the post-mortem procedure has been completed, the pathologists have not yet released a definitive opinion on what led to her death. Initial assessments by the police, based on early findings, suggest that she may have died from natural causes. There are currently no indications of any suspicious or criminal activity in connection with her passing, the official confirmed.

In the evening, Shefali Jariwala's body was brought back to her residence before being taken for the final rites. The former Bigg Boss 13 contestant was cremated at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai.

Husband Parag Tyagi Seen In Visible Grief

Video clips captured in the morning outside the hospital showed Parag Tyagi leaving the premises visibly shaken. Seated in a vehicle, he appeared devastated, attempting to shield his face as cameras surrounded him. The painful images of his sorrow quickly made their way across social media platforms, reflecting the deep personal loss he has suffered.

Tributes Pour In From Industry Colleagues

The initial confirmation of Shefali’s passing was shared on social media by journalist Vickey Lalwani, who referred to her as the beloved ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl. The entertainment industry soon responded with an outpouring of sorrow and tributes. Several actors, many of whom had shared the screen with her or competed alongside her in reality shows, took to social media to remember her.

Himanshi Khurana, a fellow contestant from Bigg Boss 13, shared a photo with Shefali on her Instagram story and emotionally referred to the show as “cursed.” Comedian Kiku Sharda, who had worked with Shefali on web-based projects, reminisced about her vibrant personality and kind nature. He recalled her cheerful greetings and positive energy on set, mourning the loss of what he called a beautiful soul.

Other television personalities, including Kamya Punjabi, Rashami Desai, Rajiv Adatia, and Kishwer Merchant, also expressed deep sorrow over her death, remembering her as an energetic and gracious colleague.
