Political commentator Tehseen Poonawalla backed India’s Operation Sindoor and said the country must respond firmly to provocation. He rejected the idea that India should avoid confrontation with Pakistan to protect its economic position or global image. In a tweet, he said silence in the face of aggression is not wisdom but cowardice.

Criticism of the “more to lose” argument

Poonawalla responded to a commonly used analogy that compares Pakistan to a street thug and India to a mansion owner who avoids conflict to avoid damage. He questioned what a person would do if the so-called thug entered their house, harmed their family, and abused their loved ones. He said staying silent in such a situation is not an act of maturity, but an act of surrender.

"Those who say India has "more to lose" by confronting Pakistan, picturing Pakistan as a street thug and India as a mansion owner who avoids brawls—listen up! What happens when that thug barges into YOUR home? Teases your wife, hurts your child, abuses your family—and you stand there, silent, because "you have more to lose"? Sorry, that’s not wisdom; that’s cowardice!" Poonawala said.

"An alpha protects his family, his honor, his nation—no matter the cost. India’s Operation Sindoor wasn’t just a strike; it was a ROAR! A message to every thug: mess with Bharat, and you’ll pay," he added.

Operation Sindoor seen as a warning

He described Operation Sindoor as more than a strike. He called it a roar—a warning to anyone who tries to harm India. While the government has not officially released details of the operation, sources have described it as a targeted military action across the border. Poonawalla said the operation showed that India will respond if provoked.

    Support for armed forces

Poonawalla ended his message by expressing pride in India’s armed forces and their efforts to protect the country. He said he was proud of India’s resolve and signed off with “Jai Hind.” His remarks added to the ongoing public discussion about how India should handle national security challenges.
