'Rigging democracy': Rahul Gandhi alleges BJP-EC 'match-fixing' in polls; Saffron party fires back
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the Election Commission after it dismissed his allegations of rigging in the 2024 Maharashtra assembly election. Sharing his op-ed published in 'The Indian Express' titled "Match-fixing Maharashtra," Rahul reiterated his allegations since the election results were announced. The 2024 Maharashtra Assembly election was described as a "blueprint for rigging democracy". He alleged that this "match-fixing" would next occur in Bihar and then anywhere the BJP is losing. "All this shows that Rahul Gandhi has already accepted defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. After Bihar, these people will lose states like Assam and Bengal," Chirag Paswan told reporters.
