Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

Synopsis

The NSE Nifty index closed 81.56 points down at 24379.6

NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 1998.55 crore), Coforge(Rs. 1767.48 crore), M&M(Rs. 1760.22 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1689.45 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1633.20 crore), BSE(Rs. 1603.18 crore), Polycab India(Rs. 1566.94 crore), SBI(Rs. 1467.63 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 1329.60 crore) and CCL Products(Rs. 1298.96 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 81.56 points down at 24379.6, while BSE Sensex fell 155.77 points to 80641.07.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.79 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.42 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 4.14 per cent), Jio Financial Services Ltd.(down 3.61 per cent), Eternal Ltd.(down 3.03 per cent), Trent Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
