Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 105.71 points at 80746.78

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Wednesday's session.

Bohra Industries Ltd.(up 3.19%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 3.07%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 2.42%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(up 2.18%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.75%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.45%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 1.38%), Coromandel International Ltd.(up 1.31%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 1.18%) and Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.16%) stood among the top gainers.

Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 2.77%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.34%), Aries Agro Ltd.(down 2.00%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 1.15%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 1.08%) and Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 1.07%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 34.81 points up at 24414.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 105.71 points at 80746.78.

Tata Motors Ltd.(up 4.96%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.15%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.12%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.75%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.68%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.34%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.32%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.21%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.19%) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.14%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 3.47%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.08%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.22%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.06%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.05%), ITC Ltd.(down 1.02%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.01%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.81%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.79%) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.77%) closed in the red.
