Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.29% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:09AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.29 per cent at 879.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 129.96 points at 24476.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 397.18 points at 80899.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 39 were trading in the green, while 11 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Indian Oil Corp., Vishal Mega Mart, YES Bank and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Reliance Naval & Engg, Force Motors, Godfrey Philips, ARSS Infra and Anupam Rasayan India hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Keerti Knowledge, CMI Ltd, AGS Transact Tech, Gensol Engg and Quintegra Sol hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
