Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.8% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:16AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent), Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers Ltd.(down 2.53 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 2.26 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), Sobha Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) and Raymond Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.8 per cent at 865.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 196.21 points at 24728.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 737.73 points at 81692.17.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Swiggy, BEL and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Stampede Cap(DVR), Suven Life Sci, India Glycols, Fusion Micro Finance(PP)and Sanathan Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Career Point, Swiggy, Karda Const, Eurotex Ind and Revathi Equipment In hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
