Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Nifty — Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Interarch Building, Stampede Cap(DVR), India Glycols, Solar Ind. and SecMark Consultancy, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 203.75 points down at 24609.7 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Aditya Birla Retail, R K Swamy, California Soft(PP), Chembond Chem and Career Point, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 8 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 42 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel, JSW Steel and Hero MotoCorp were among top gainers during the day, while ONGC, M&M, Tech Mahindra, Hindalco and Wipro ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 644.64 points down at 80951.99.

Traders piled up positions in IT Enabled Services, General, Tourism & Hospitality, Auto and Engineering sectors, while selling was witnessed in IT - Hardware, Construction, Tobacco, FMCG and Gas & Petroleum sectors during the day.
