"I have just signed the order to stop supplying electricity immediately to the Gaza Strip," Cohen said in a video statement, adding: "We will use all the tools at our disposal to bring back the hostages and ensure that Hamas is no longer in Gaza the day after" the war.

- Five labourers suffocated to death while cleaning a water tank in an under-construction building in south Mumbai on Sunday, officials said.
- The incident occurred at Bismillah Space building located on Dimtimkar Road in the Nagpada area around 12.30 pm, they said.
- Five workers entered a water tank to clean it but passed out inside while doing the job, said a fire official.
- Others at the construction site alerted the fire brigade, which rescued the five men and rushed them to the state-run JJ hospital. However, doctors declared them dead, said an official.
- Officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and local police have reached the spot and a probe is underway, said a police official. More details are awaited.

Prominent religious scholar killed in Pakistan
- Mufti Shah Mir, a prominent Pakistani scholar, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Balochistan province, according to a media report. Mir was targeted in the Turbat town of Kech on Friday when he was leaving a mosque after night prayers, the Dawn newspaper said.
- "Armed men riding motorcycles opened fire on Mufti Shah Mir, leaving him seriously injured," the paper quoted police as saying.
- He was immediately shifted to Turbat hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
- The deceased received multiple bullet injuries that caused his death.
- Mufti Shah Mir was close to the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F). He previously survived two attempts on his life. The attack came days after two leaders of JUI-F were shot dead in Khuzdar.

Vice President Dhankhar admitted to Delhi AIIMS, condition stable
- Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was admitted to the AIIMS here early Sunday after complaining of uneasiness and chest pain, sources said. The 73-year-old was taken to the hospital around 2 am.
- Dhankhar was admitted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) under Dr Rajiv Narang, Head of Department of Cardiology at AIIMS.
- He is stable and under observation, a source said, adding a group of doctors is monitoring his condition.

- "In the face of another Mandir desecration, this time in Chino Hills, CA, the Hindu community stands steadfast against hate. Together with the community in Chino Hills and Southern California, we will never let hate take root," the BAPS Public Affairs posted on X.
- "Our common humanity and faith will ensure that peace and compassion prevail," it said, without providing details of the incident.
