Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 182.9 points at 80613.94

Nifty — India 10-year bond yield rose 0.05 per cent to 6.03 after trading in 6.02-6.04 range.

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Tuesday at 11:00AM

DCM Shriram Industries Ltd.(up 3.21%) and EID Parry(India)Ltd.(up 2.13%) were among the top gainers.

Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(down 3.55%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 2.21%), Rana Sugars Ltd.(down 1.90%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 1.86%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(down 1.84%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd.(down 1.71%), Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd.(down 1.65%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd.(down 1.55%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(down 1.54%) and Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(down 1.33%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 58.11 points down at 24403.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 182.9 points at 80613.94 at around 11:00AM.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.9%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.52%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.36%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.06%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.93%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.54%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.29%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.21%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.15%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.09%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.31%), Cipla Ltd.(down 2.01%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.93%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.71%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.65%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.61%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.58%), State Bank of India(down 1.54%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.31%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.21%) were trading in the red.
