    In a shocking incident from Lucknow, a senior police officer has been caught on camera slapping an army Colonel in front of his wife and daughter. The video has gone viral, sparking public anger.

    The incident happened on Saturday on a busy city road. A man, now identified as inspector Vinay Kumar Saroj, was seen driving on the wrong side. When Colonel Anand Prakash Suman, who was coming from the other side, questioned him, the inspector allegedly got out of his car and slapped the Colonel through the window.

    Colonel Suman is posted with the NCC Directorate in Patna. In his police complaint, he said that the inspector started abusing him, and when he rolled down the window, the inspector slapped him hard. He also said that when he stepped out of his car to stop the officer, Saroj tried to crush him between the two cars, then ran over his left foot and escaped.

    The police have registered a case based on Colonel Suman’s complaint. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Nipun Aggarwal, said action will be taken after reviewing the CCTV footage. “Whoever is found guilty will be strictly punished,” he said.

    As of now, the inspector is missing and his mobile phone is switched off.
